Kenilworth Golf Club to Host Second Junior Masters

The Kenilworth Golf Club in Warwickshire will be hosting its second Kenilworth Junior Masters. The event will take place on the 7th of April, 2010

Last years winner was Lewis George from Crewe Golf Club, he collected the John Butler Trophy having managed to birdie the last hole to secure a narrow one shot victory.

The event is sponsored by the Golf Society of Great Britain and is one of a series of six competitions. The events are held at leading venues across the country where they are all specifically designed to give young golfers the chance to enjoy competitive golf.

There are a lot of big names in golf that have competed and won in these junior tournaments. Names such as Oliver fisher who went on to be the youngest ever Walker Cup player and is now currently playing on the European Tour. Other big names are Tommy Fleetwood who is now a member of the EGU’s England squad and Jonathan Bell which is currently a member of EGU’s ‘A’ squad.

The competition is open to boys and girls who are under the age of 14. The competition last year managed to attract talented young golfers spanning from across the entire country.
As the limit is only 72 for the competition, applicants should try and submit their entry as soon as possible.
