Latest Addition To Nike Golf - Suzanne Pettersen

Having recently moved up to second place in the world rankings, Suzanne Pettersen has signed to Nike Golf to boost its LPGA presence in 2008. A multi-year agreement has been signed for Pettersen to represent Nike Golf with golf clubs, golf balls, golf bags, golf shoes and golf gloves.

Her golf bag will contain SasQuatch Sumo golf drivers, 3-wood, Sumo hybrid golf clubs, SV Tour golf wedges and Ignite putters.

In 2007, Pettersen had used TaylorMade golf clubs and Ping putter she’d borrowed from her partner at the LPGA Championship. Previously using Titleist Pro V1 golf balls and glove – she wore FootJoy golf shoes. Officials at Nike Golf have reportedly stated that Pettersen will wear Nike apparel; she however is currently contracted to Peak Performance.

Pettersen’s signing is testament to Nikes determination to sign a player who can produce immediate results – having won five times in 2007 including a major championship under her belt and a determination to succeed.

“To be associated with a powerful global brand such as Nike is an athlete’s dream,” Pettersen commented. This latest signing at Nike brings the total tally of LPGA players to five.
